Returning to Teach at Pace University
If you’ve read any of my work, you probably know how much I love my alma mater, Pace University. It’s always a pleasure to give back to the school that gave me so much. It’s my privilege to assist the university and students any way I can. Since graduating in the ‘80s, I’ve been happy to continue my relationship with Pace as an Adjunct Professor, as well as serving as one of The School of Business’s’ Lecturer in Residence.
This semester, I’m excited to do more for Pace as I share my knowledge with the students at the Westchester and New York City campuses with my own class. The course, Seminar in Sports & Entertainment Business, passes on my knowledge and experiences in the business management field to other aspiring business leaders. I’m incredibly thrilled to shape some of the industry’s future leaders over this semester.
I’m excited to introduce the students to an area of sports and entertainment that often goes overlooked. By breaking down the sport and entertainment industry, I hope students come away with a better understanding of the many segments that make up the business. By semester’s end, students will have a better grasp at addressing principles and structures of the industry, thus enhancing their ability to secure a career in the field. From the basics to legal to communication and sponsorships in sports, we’ll cover it all.
I feel honored to be back in Pace’s classroom once again. Seeing students developing into their potential is an incredible sight that I recommend to anyone. Your knowledge and insight are vital to the growth of future generations of professionals. Make it count. Even if the students don’t embark on a career in this field, we are helping shape young minds. Don’t take it for granted. It’s an incredible experience that should serve as a mutually beneficial experience for us all.
It’s great to be back home. Thank you, Pace.
